Re: Fundamentals Gymnastics: "After serious struggles with pediatric asthma and hypoglycemia, my daughter was very tiny for her age and unable to do many physical tasks. She was also diagnosed with near blindness in her right eye. She really couldn't walk back wards or coordinate most physical activities. Our physician suggested enrolling her in a physical activity to help coordinate her movements and build up her stamina. We enrolled Mackenzie at Fundamentals having no idea how great a change we would see in her! Gymnastics has made a remarkable impact on her physical abilities and she is currently above the average in age appropriate skill levels as assessed by a occupational therapist. She has also made startling improvements with her vision. The eye doctor, Dr. Goldbloom, actually checked her vision three times, he was so stunned by her improvement! We believe that gymnastics forces her to look through her glasses and has helped her brain become more responsive to her body as a whole. In addition, seeing her teacher Mr. Ken wearing his glasses has helped her feel special and able to do anything while wearing her glasses. My daughter has struggled for so long, but when she comes to Fundamentals, I see a little girl who is having a fantastic time. It has been a remarkable change and I am so glad to continue to watch these improvements in her feelings about her self as well as her physical capabilities. Sincerely Kirsten" |
